Mini Haul!

Hey guys!
I'm here today with a verrrrry quick small haul!
I done a quick run around Brent Cross today and picked up a couple of things I needed and I thought I
would share them with you!
First, I went into Topshop and picked up this simple black skater skirt.

£16, Topshop
I like this skirt cos its super versatile and easy to wear. Its Jersey material which makes it nice and comfortable. Also, £16 is a bargain price for a Topshop skirt!

I then popped into boots, and got a few things.
Botanics Gentle Cleansing Cream
£3.99
Torn between the Simple cleansing lotion at £2.99 and this, I decided to try out the Botanics and see how things go.

Oval cotton wool pads
£1.69
I just also restocked up on these babies to use with my cleansing lotion.

SkinClear Deep Pore Facial Treatment Scrub
£4.07
I decided to branch out from my usual St Ives Apricot Scrub, and go for this skin clearing formula, and see if it does my skin some good, as its been looking extremely dull lately!

Simple replenishing rich moisturiser
£3.89
So, for moisturisers, I tend to vary between a few, but for the most part I usually use Simple's hydrating light moisturiser, however I do not feel as though it's doing quite enough for my skin. Therefore the most 'simple' solution, (pun rather intended), was to try their rich version, especially now that winter is in the horizon!

So, that was all for today, hope this interested you, if you've tried any of these products let me know, or if you have any recommendations please leave a comment!

buh bye!!! Jules xxx

Alison Claire Natural Beauty Skin Care - Review!

Hello beautiful people!
I am here today with a review of a couple of pretty awesome products :)

So, Alison Claire were super nice enough to send me a couple of bits from their skin care collection.
If you don't know much about the company, here is a quick overview...

"Products so pure you can eat them"
Alison Claire
Starting as a response to raise awareness of some of the harsh chemicals and ingredients that nasty companies can put into our skin and haircare, they wanted to give us a completely different experience. Alison Claire are all about the natural. They use no fillers, no harsh preservatives, no synthetic fragrances and no colours!
Also, with working with people with sensitive skin, they were able to create products suitable for everyone.. always a plus!

So, the first product I was delighted to try, was a Lavender and Chamomile body lotion.
£12

So, with any review of a body lotion, there's one thing you've got to know first and foremost...
Does it work? This lotion definitely works, amazingly! I used this lotion for a few days, after each bath I would use this all over my body. It left my legs feeling sooo smooth after shaving, and the lavender and chamomile really soothed any redness and irritation. It moisturises instantly and my skin continued to feel silky and smooth throughout the day. Its consistency is also perfect for a lotion as its not too thick making it a dream to spread across the skin, and it will last for a long time!

Now, on to another important factor...

How does it smell? Now, I'm not usually a very big fan of lavender scents, this is typically because I tend to find them to be quite artificial smelling. This however, blew me away! The smell is SO natural, it almost puts you into a trance! A few years ago, I lived in a house where in the garden grew a lavender bush, as soon as I smelled this lotion, that was all I could think about! Its so relaxing and puts you in an amazing state of calm, this is a great lotion to use just before bed, I guarantee you would get a beautiful sleep!

The next product I tried was the lemon-grass foot cream...
£12
This was a lovely little product to try out!
This foot cream was super moisturising and after using it, I really felt as though I just came out of the salon! It makes your feet so supple and refreshed, and you, ready to take on the day! The scent of this product is incredible, I fell in love! It instantly refreshed both my mind and my body, and put a smile on my face. Also throughout the days of using this, my feet continued to feel good, even when out and about! Definitely a product to look into if you're searching for a fix for your feet!

Overall, I was extremely happy with these products.

Having a flick through the small catalogue they sent me and a browse on their website though, I discovered a tonne of products I just HAVE to try now!!

Mango And Coconut Body Lotion

Apricot Shampoo

Lemon Conditioner

and so much more!

I am definitely wanting to get my hands on these products.

So, please do have a look at the Alison Claire website at http://www.alisonclairenaturalbeauty.com/
and have a look at what they've got to offer, tell me what's on your wish list!

Have you already tried something from Alison Claire? Tell me!

Hope this helped if you've been looking for a new range to check out, I REALLY recommend it!!

lots of love! Jules xxx

Pink hair, don't care! Manic Panic VS Directions!

Hello there beautiful!
I am here with a comparison between two extreme colour hair dyes, 'Manic Panic' and 'Directions'.
So this is my story... looking for a semi permanent pink dye to use for the ends of my hair, I took a trip to Camden and eventually found the much raved about brand 'Manic Panic' in Cyberdog. I bought the Amplified (supposedly better, stronger and longer lasting than the original) version of 'Cotton Candy Pink'.
£12, Cyberdog
OR purchase from - http://www.manicpanic.com/

So, I got home and tried this baby out... these are the results.

But sadly, with noticeable fading from just 1+ days of being done, I wasn't too pleased with the lasting power of this dye, especially since it had taken nearly the WHOLE tub to do what you can see there.

So... on my A level results day I bumped into a girl which I speak to occasionally, and she really loved my hair. Being a bright hair colour fanatic herself, she suggested I try 'Directions', and told me where in the area I could get some, which I was delighted with as I am unable to order online. So, one day I took a trip to a hair shop called 'Paks' and picked up a tub in 'Flamingo pink' and 'Lavender'.

£3 each, Paks

I did my ends again with this pink, but faded it into my hair with lavender.. these were the results...

I really liked how this turned out, and the pink was so bright and vibrant!
I know that this is mainly due to the shade difference chosen and not entirely the brand, but I couldn't help but notice the 'directions' did a much better job at covering all the hair and leaving no strand untouched. This colour stayed in for what seemed like an age, and it even possessed me to do this....

Yep, I had a YOLO moment...
and I did ALL that using still just the ONE pot of directions flamingo pink I had originally bought, and I STILL have a tonne left!
I couldn't be happier with the directions dye.. it has lasted me an absolute AGE whereas the Manic Panic was a complete waste of money in my opinion.
Also, unlike the Manic Panic, it eventually faded nicely and evenly...

And it came out enough to go to sixth form with a few really good washes!
But did leave me with a few really lovely pink tones highlights hehe.

SO, HOPE YOU'RE STILL AWAKE AFTER THIS MAMMOTH POST....
:D
if you're looking for a good coloured semi dye... you have my recommendation!

MWAH, BYE!! xxxx

Hey there stranger!

:O
WHAT'S THIS?
Juliet.......................doing a post.........................oh em gee.

ok ok...... guess it's time to do the whole explanation thing, right?

sooo my excuse for slacking on posts and videos......
..........
hahahaha..........

well, i've just been superrrr busy and in my spare time a little, well..... lazy.

it's not my fault i swear!!!
I just haven't exactly found the right moment to sit down and right a post or film a video.. which may i add are just SO MUCH EFFORT i want to kill myself every time i try.

and to be perfectly honest i've lacked a little motivation... i underestimated how hard it is to keep a blog or a channel in the extremely early days because obviously you lack the encouragement from readers and viewers, because nobody knows you yet! and without a kick up the bum I evidently let it slip...

BUT sixth form is over and I am all yours, with plenty of posts lined up!!!

April Favs!

Hey guys!
So, I've had a few products I've been meaning to review, but I just thought I'd show you what I've been loving this month before I get down to the details!

So, during my trip to Paris, I just HAD to give into the hype and buy a bottle of Bioderma!

I am currently IN LOVE with this product, its the most gentle make up remover I have tried, and leaves me with no redness and no stinging of the eyes!
Definitely a great beauty buy to invest in! FULL REVIEW TO COME!

Next.. is this amazing MUA eyeshadow palette in 'heaven and earth'!

I am loving this eye shadow palette! I wanted to pick one up, but all their palettes didn't seem very wearable when I first had a look at their section in my local superdrug, however then I stumbled across this baby! With similarities to the urban decay naked palette, and the variety of very wearable colours, I HAD to purchase it!
I wore some of the colours today creating a lovely look, and has lasted me throughout!
If you would like a tutorial or everyday make up routine using this palette then just comment below!

Last, is this new purchase from MAC..

This is 'Hot Gossip' from MAC, and is a cremesheen finish.
I am really loving this lipstick at the minute, and will probably wear it nearly everyday, as on me it is a very 'your lips, but better' colour. If you have any suggestions on other lipsticks MAC or high street, then please, let me know! :)

Thanks for reading... what are YOUR April favourites?

Paris & Update!

Hey guys! I haven't posted in a while.. mostly due to the fact I have just been overwhelmingly busy!
Also the fact I haven't really known what to blog about...
SO I thought I would just do a quick update on what I've been up to the past couple weeks!

It has included a lot of staring at this..

A little bit of this..

And a whole lotta this!..

Hella yeah! I was lucky enough to be invited on a lovely weekend away to Paris with my best friend, and had an absolutely AMAZING time! I've got to admit, I never wanted to return!
The people in Paris are absolute babes, everyone was sooo nice! A little too nice sometimes, but nice nonetheless! And I don't know whether it was sympathy for how clueless we were in this french speaking city, or if it was the British charm, but every cafe we visited and every restaurant we went to, they always gave us a crazy deal, or chucked in a load of free stuff! *dances*
But moving on, it really was an incredible experience, I've never witnessed such beauty in a city.
I'm definitely interested in returning! Here's a few pics I took while I was out there :)

Thanks for reading!
Let me know if you have any suggestions for blogs! :) Jules xxx

My day and OOTD

Hey guys!
So, tonight I was invited to go ice skating with some of my friends.. now, I used to go ice skating a lot a few years ago, i've never been very good, but I used to enjoy it.
However, when I was invited I made it clear I wasn't very interested in going, as i've kinda grown out of it, and its a whole load of unnecessary stress and bloody painful too!
My friends persisted I come though, so eventually I caved in, just because I thought it would be good to see my mates anyway!
So, i'm home and in bed now, and tbh i actually had a really good time! Im knackered now though and my legs are kinda sore, but it was alright!! I didnt fall over, which was a good start, and I managed to skate around by myself and as a group quite a bit :) So all in all I had a lovely evening and although I wont be rushing back there anytime soon, I'm happy to say I dont have my irrational hatred for it anymore!
Sooo anyway, although I was superrrrr tired when I got through my front door I thought id take a couple pics to show you what I wore etc :)

Dress & Belt: Select £16
Cardigan: Primark, c/r price, but no more than £15
Denim Shorts: Primark £10
Thin Black Tights: anywhere :)

I also wore brown brogues with this outfit which I forgot to take a picture of!
My make-up is pretty much non existent now after all that skating, so I wont bother talking about that :)

So that has been my evening, hope you guys had a nice one too!
Tomorrow is easter sunday so happy easter everyone!!! have a lovely day, Jules xxx

About Me Tag!

So I was tagged by the lovely Vanese, you can find her amaaazing blog here!
The 'about me' tag should give you a bit more of the inside info into my life, sooo here we go!! :D

Are you named after anyone?
If you haven't already guessed, my name is Juliet.. so I shall give you three guesses to figure out who I was named after..... CORRECT! yes, as far as I know, the Shakespearean love tragedy 'Romeo and Juliet' is the only source of inspiration my parents had in order to name me Juliet! I do love the name though :')

What was your best memory as a child?
My childhood was filled with amazing memories.. it's hard to pinpoint one! I guess one could be visiting 'Paradise Wildlife Park' with my best friend Priscilla. That was a place I loved going to as a child so my first time being able to bring her along was so special, and it also was the day we had our first sleepover! And we bought lots of goodies from the souvenir shop! ;)

Do you have any siblings?
Yes, I have a brother and two sisters :) They are all way older than me and all have kids, so i've got loads of nieces and nephews!

What’s one thing most people probably don’t know about you?
Hmm, I used to be an Irish Dancer? This question was harder than I thought, I spent ages trying to think of something interesting, but failed miserably.

Do you have any pets?
Yeah, I have a pet budgie named Sugar!

What do you order at Starbucks?
Depends on the weather.. usually it would be a White Caffe Mocha, if i'm feeling really sweet then a Caramel Hot Chocolate, and if its superrr hot outside, then probably a Mocha Frappachino.

Favourite song at the moment?
The Wanted - Chasing The Sun

What day is your favourite day of the year?
I like Christmas :)

If you could marry anyone in the world who would it be?
Right now, with my single ass, i'm just gonna be a cringe and say Nathan Sykes.

What is your favourite thing at the moment?
Being able to have lie-ins during the easter holidays... even though I've been waking up early anyway!

What do you want to be when you grow up?
An Actress... but it's freakin' hard.

Sooooo thanksssss for being interested in my life.. hehe hope my answers were alright :P

Until next timeeee..... CYAA! Jules xxx

Birthday Party: OOTD

So, I know my birthday was a while back, but I still think its never too late to show you what I wore on the night! This was my outfit:

Dress: River Island, Aprox. £34

My dress was a beach style halter-neck, which came up short at the front and floor length at the back. It was brown/purple leopard print on a pale pink/lilac base, very unusual! This is definitely why it caught my eye. Made from luxurious material the dress flows beautifully as you walk, however it is a good idea to hold the back of the dress up when going down stairs! I found the dress super long, which I liked.. however as I am very tall I am not sure how this dress would wear on a someone shorter! It is available in 'beachwear', so is perfectly designed as holiday friendly! If someone decides to whisk me away this summer I know what's going in my suitcase! All in all it was definitely a great buy! Very happy! :)

Shoes: Parmars (Stratford Westfield), £28
The shoes I wore with the dress have without a doubt taken 1st place as my favourite pair on heels! An absolutely gorgeous nude/pale pink colour, these shoes can be matched up with a limitless array of outfits. The style of the heel is fabulous! I am not the biggest fan of skinny stilettos to be honest with you, I bloody break my neck just looking at 'em! ..But these beauties have a gorgeous chunky heel, with a lovely curve I adore! Definitely wearable for any occasion, and come with a set of heel tips in case you are in need of a re-heel 'cos you just wear them too damn much! ;)

Thanks for reading!! Jules xxx

Blogspot, open your arms wide for me..

Hello! My name is Juliet and I am here to lose my blogging virginity...
I've been 18 for like a month now.. and I am enjoying it SO much, seriously.. being 18 is the SHIT :D
And I am basically starting this blog because being massively interested in make up, beauty products, skin care etc, trying new things in order to find the best results to help both myself and others, I couldn't think of a better way than this!
I hope through my blogs, talking about my favourite products, my beauty tips and tricks, hair care and much more, I can hopefully inspire people to find more ways to express themselves, because I am a firm believer that make up and fashion are just forms of expression.
I am a perfect example of how beauty is not always what we see in the magazines, or the picture on tumblr with 1000+ reblogs.. but its about you as a person.. and being beautiful on the outside means nothing unless you are beautiful on the inside, and this is where I come into it.
I have never been considered what is supposed to be 'beautiful', but you've got to ask yourself the question, what is beauty? For me, beauty is whatever you want it to be, and I don't wear make up or do my hair for any reason other than to make myself feel more beautiful.. not for anybody else.
So join me on my journey and I will join you on yours, and we can express ourselves together on this road to discovery!
